Training Coach

Location: Cebu

What you will be doing:

The Training Coach assists in the planning and administering of staff training for the organization. This position also executes programs to develop employee skills and impart organizational practices and policies by utilizing various learning methods. The incumbent will also investigate training resources for appropriate information and suggest new topics.

As a senior on the team, the position will also take on the responsibility of leading other Learning & Development Specialists through various projects and

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transfer knowledge to learners by utilization of a variety of learning tools and application of adult learning principles
  • Coach and mentor newly hired Experts through multiple performance management tools, including recognition programs, corrective action progressions, and scheduled performance review processes
  • Obtain or develop training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials such as handouts and visuals
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities and program effectiveness
  • Develop and deliver competency-based learning activities (i.e. performance management, coaching and feedback, customer service, etc.)
  • Coordinate site and/or enterprise-wide learning opportunities and events
  • Develop and deliver multi-channel cascading employee communications and accompanying manager and employee tools
  • Administer and leverage the learning management system to support training initiatives
  • Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programs, or to inform leadership of training program status
  • Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, including outlines, text, and handouts
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, and consultation with leaders, instructors, or customer representatives
  • Recommend and participate in corrective action discussions with trainees
  • Manage training projects and work on special assignments as needed
  • Manage other L&D Specialists as they progress through their own projects, IDP, and day to day functions.

Here's what you'll bring to the team:

  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to become proficient in other technical systems
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Learning agility: ability to learn new information and training techniques quickly
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for designing and measuring curriculum and training systems
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; understanding and adjusting to individual differences in ability, personality, interests, and means of learning and motivation
  • Ability to work independently or within teams
  • Effective project-based communication skills, able to interpret and report basic data back to the business
  • Schedule management; independently, within and around a team and project.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years hands-on experience with mobile devices, tablets, computers, digital cameras, televisions, home audio, and/or appliances preferred
  • 1+ years' experience with next generation technologies related to cloud, mobile, social, or big data
  • 1+ years' experience with administrative duties including submitting IT tickets and managing data
  • 1+ years of people leadership or training experience required
  • Prior experience in Mobility/Soluto OR 1+ year as a Sr. L&D for a different line of business
  • Currently in or prior Asurion Training and development experience required
  • 6 months tenure in current position
  • No active corrective actions
  • End of Year and Month to date strong or better
