Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and dependable kitchen staff to assist in the preparation and cooking of our food in the restaurant. You will perform routine kitchen tasks such as dish washing, preparing ingredients, assembling salads and cooking pasta. As a line cook, you will also assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and meats.
  • Measure and portion ingredients accurately.
  • Assist in cooking and preparing various dishes as per restaurant recipes and standards.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a prep cook, line cook, or relevant position in a kitchen environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stoop as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat.

Job Type: Full-time
