We are seeking a skilled and proactive L2 Production Support Engineer to join our team and provide advanced support for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes in a dynamic production environment. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex ETL issues by analyzing logs, tracing data flows, and reviewing performance metrics.
- Incident Management: Handle escalated incidents from L1 support and collaborate with development teams or vendors for resolution.
- Performance Optimization: Tune ETL jobs and database queries to improve system throughput and reduce processing time.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor system resources and recommend scaling strategies to support growing data volumes.
- Change Management: Review and validate changes to ETL configurations, ensuring minimal impact on production.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Implement proactive monitoring tools and alerts to detect anomalies and prevent failures.
- Knowledge Sharing: Create documentation, best practices, and training materials to support L1 teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in ETL production support or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage).
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
- Experience with monitoring tools and incident management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
