Duties and Responsibilities:
CREDIT & COLLECTION – DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer payment tracking and collection
- Prepare statement of accounts for customer to follow-up and ensure that this is tie up with the general ledger postings in the books.
- Monitor outstanding accounts receivables and follow up with clients for timely collection
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks and credit/ online transactions.
- Apply incoming payments to customer accounts
- Contribute to reduction of days sales outstanding (DSO) metrics
Account Reconciliation
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Identify discrepancies and resolve billing or payment issues.
Reporting
- Prepare reports on account balances and ageing of receivables.
- Provide management reports to track overdue accounts and expected payment schedules
Credit Control
- Perform credit checks on potential customer to determine payment terms
- Review and recommend adjusting credit limits based on payment history and creditworthiness.
- Ensure Customer Information Sheet is complete and endorse to AR Finance for posting and updating the Customer Database
Customer Service
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues, refunds and discrepancies
- Work with Inside Sales / Field Sales teams to resolve client disputes related to receivables
GENERAL FINANCE ASSISTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and organize financial records including invoices, payments, payment confirmations, reports
- Input financial data into accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations of transactions
- Prepare and submit regular reports for the accounts/ areas being handled as required
- Support the team in maintaining general ledger entries and ensuring proper financial classifications.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to finance, such as filing, answering finance-related queries, and assisting with financial correspondence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or related business field
- With proven experience as Finance Assistant or similar role
- With strong numerical skills and attention to details
- With knowledge and experience of basic bookkeeping/ accounting
- With good organizational and multitasking abilities
- With ability to both work independently and in a team environment
- With ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in MSExcel and can easily adapt to ERP or accounting software/app
- Willing to be assigned at Binan City, Laguna Technopark
