Finance and Accounting Manager

Overview:

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and performance of the business through effective planning, analysis, and reporting. This role combines core finance management functions with financial planning and analysis, ensuring that management has accurate, timely, and insightful information for decision-making.

The Finance Manager develops and monitors budgets, forecasts, and financial models; analyzes business performance and variances. In addition, the role ensures compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies while fostering cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales, and other departments to support operational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting

• Assist the controller in internal affairs or daily management of finance operations to ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial data.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for executive management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal company policies.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, detailing business performance, key metrics, and trends.

Controls and Process Improvement

• Approve/ audit vouchers (AP, JV, CDB, CRB) to ensure the correct accounting treatment of all business matters to be able to provide accurate data to support monthly financials.
• Monitor and co-lead assets management controls: accounts receivable through aging analysis; physical count inventory with monthly and annual stock counts; fixed assets through annual verification and tagging of assets
• Ensure financial practices comply with company policies and applicable regulations, and support internal controls related to financial processes
• Coordinate and cooperate with internal and external auditors to ensure the smooth completion of internal and external audits and implement the rectification measures one by one.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Assist the controller to manage the annual budget process, including revenue and expense
• forecasting. Continuously update forecasts based on changes in the business environment.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights that can support decision-
• making. This may involve analyzing sales performance, cost structures, and other key financial metrics.
• Contribute to long-term strategic planning by developing financial models and scenarios
• that helps evaluate potential business opportunities and risks.
• Submit complete and accurate actual financial results. Forecast future results.
• Conduct variance analyses to identify differences between actual and budgeted performance. Investigate the reasons for variances and provide actionable insights.
• Identify and implement process improvements for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Business Partnership

• Work closely with various departments (such as engineering, marketing, and operations) to
• gather information and support cross-functional initiatives.
• Review financial insights with the controller and discuss together with the stakeholders, leadership team and department heads, helping them understand financial implications and support business decisions.
• Partner with leadership team to improve future business results
• Perform adhoc financial analyses as needed to support specific business initiatives or management requests

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. A master's degree, such as an MBA or a master's in finance, is preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive finance with at least 2+ years FP&A experience with the last 3 years in a management role.
• Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA.
• Strong knowledge of the accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and financial/ taxation regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy .
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and the ability to quickly adapt to various ERP platforms."
• Willing to be assigned at Laguna Technopark in Binan, Laguna
