Vendor Manager

  1. Establish partnerships and contracts with local subcontractors/vendors/suppliers to support project requirement

  2. Secure quotes and negotiate on terms and prices that allow company's costs to remain low or within budget while still getting quality products and services

  3. Manage a team to handle subcontractor PR/PO and payment, OR collection etc.

  4. Handle dispute with subcontractors if needed. Manage subcon BoQ change, price deduction, Credit memo etc.

  5. Conducts ocular visits to a supplier's facility to ensure standards and quality is maintained as agreed

  6. Conducts periodic evaluation of suppliers and vendors, ensures results are transparent to relevant internal domains, and uses results as basis for extending or terminating contracts

  7. Communicate effectively with Finance and Management teams findings and recommendations concerning suppliers

  8. Works closely with Finance to determine whether there is room in the budget to upgrade or how to make cutbacks if necessary, with the least impact to the project

  9. Any other subcontractor related work, eg procurement/sourcing support if needed.

Job requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree, preferably with units in Finance

  2. Minimum 5years experience in a similar function (telco background)

  3. Fluent in written and spoken English, good communication skills
