We seek a Project Architect with leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to manage architectural projects from design to completion. This role ensures designs meet client needs, regulatory standards, and project goals while adhering to budgets and schedules. The Project Architect leads the design team, collaborates with stakeholders, oversees execution, and serves as the main client contact, driving innovation, quality, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Conceptualization: Lead the creation of innovative architectural designs that align with client goals, develop detailed specifications for materials and construction, and produce 3D models and visualizations to communicate ideas to clients and stakeholders.
- Drawings and Documentation: Translate conceptual designs into clear, accurate architectural drawings, develop and maintain design schedules, prepare comprehensive packages for consultants and contractors, and conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Client and Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong client relationships by providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction, while managing the design approval process, overseeing Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) coordination, and conducting site walkthroughs to resolve issues and ensure project success.
- Construction Management: Coordinate and balance architectural drawings with engineering and other disciplines to ensure consistency, oversee site inspections for compliance with design specifications, and manage RFIs and RFAs to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Project Management and Oversight: Provide comprehensive project oversight, ensuring effective management from start to finish, monitoring progress against timelines and budgets, and implementing corrective actions to meet quality standards, scope, and deadlines while incorporating new technologies and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaboration and Team Leadership: Serve as a liaison with government bodies, HOAs, and regulatory entities to ensure compliance, while coordinating with internal teams, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors for smooth project execution. Lead and mentor junior staff to foster a collaborative, creative, and productive work environment.
Job Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and 3D rendering tools etc.
- Thorough knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
- Proven experience with both residential and commercial projects.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative designs.
- Flexibility and readiness to do site visits, client discussions, and presentations.
