JOB SUMMARY:
The Compliance Staff will support the Compliance Department in ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves assisting in monitoring compliance activities, compliance research, conducting audits, policy development, and the coordination of compliance-related activities across the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Creates a monitoring program for all statutory/regulatory permits and certifications relevant to the operation of the MSMC factory;
- Assists the Deputy Counsel in the processing of the permits and certifications with their requirements;
- Assists in the drafting, reviewing, and updating compliance policies and procedures;
- Conducts research, audits and risk assessments in relation to government-mandated requirements;
- Collaborates with the cross-functional teams or the Factory's designated statutory/regulatory body to ensure compliance initiatives are integrated throughout the organization;
- Reports to the management the status of compliance of the factory with statutory/regulatory body requirements to prevent fines, lawsuits, and reputational damage;
- Stays current on laws and government policies relevant to the operation of MSMC;
- Trains and educates personnel on regulatory/statutory requirements to foster culture of compliance;
- Acts as a representative of the Factory to regulatory/statutory body and assists in hosting regulatory audits and inspections, whenever necessary;
- Assists in the documenting compliance audit findings and the follow-up of corrective actions;
- Provides administrative support, such as but not limited to, scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing meeting agendas and minutes as needed; and
- Performs other job-related tasks that may be assigned by the Deputy General Counsel for Regulatory Compliance, Plant Manager and/or the MSMC Board of Directors.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, or related field
- At least 2 years of work experience in compliance, auditing or risk management, preferably in a food manufacturing company
- Knowledge in food industry standards, laws and regulations of the Philippines
- Excellent research, analytical and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Practical knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Application
- Has a valid Philippine driver's license and can drive a car
- Amenable to work from Mondays to Saturdays at Bagong Ilog, Pasig City
