About the role

Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corporation, a leading provider of maritime transportation services in the Philippines, is seeking an experienced ISM Internal Auditor to join their team. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of Archipelago's ferry operations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of Archipelago's safety management system and its adherence to ISM Code requirements
  2. Identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to enhance the company's safety protocols and procedures
  3. Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to management
  4. Monitoring the implementation of corrective actions and verifying their effectiveness
  5. Collaborating with the operations team to ensure the seamless integration of safety practices across the organization
  6. Staying up-to-date with the latest maritime regulations and industry best practices

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the maritime or transportation industry
  2. Strong understanding of the ISM Code and its implementation requirements
  3. Proficiency in conducting internal audits, risk assessments, and developing improvement strategies
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  5. Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically to identify and address safety-related issues
  6. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance
