I QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

  • Determining, negotiating, and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards, and/or specifications
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation
  • Writing technical and management system reports
  • Specifying quality requirements of raw materials and packaging materials with the purchasing department

· Perform inspections and audits of the production area to ensure compliance

· Conduct thorough operational inspections, in-operational inspections, in-process inspections, and incoming inspection of food product raw and packaging materials

· Determine acceptability by checking weight and volume of materials, reviewing the material documents, certificate of analysis, testing the materials before acceptance, and conducting separate testing to ensure acceptability before full acceptance and release of materials for use in the manufacturing plant.

  • Advises interdepartmental and upper management of any observed issues immediately, so they can be addressed promptly.
  • Test samples for pH, moisture% %, color, and any other testing parameter that is required on the submitted sample.
  • Places items on hold that do not meet the specification, such as incoming material, work in process, and or finished goods.  Presents reasons for retention and recommends a possible solution to the issue.
  • Inspects and calibrates equipment used in the lab.  Reports non-compliance findings and recommends next step solutions to the management.
  • Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both the national and international levels
  • Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems, and procedures
  • Determining the training needs of the employees.
  • Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in the performance/quality of the manufacturing process and facility.
  • Directing objectives to maximize profitability
  • Supervising technical or laboratory staff.
  • Document any lapses in quality.
  • Helps troubleshoot problems in the production process.
  • Divert any products that fail to meet rigorous quality standards.
  • Checks processes, supplies, and equipment for compliance with company regulations, and industry practices.

  • Determining system improvements; implementing change.

  • Complies with and enforces GLPs (Good Laboratory Practices), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Safety Practices and all relevant protocols and standards implemented in the manufacturing facility.
  • Reviews, interprets, verifies, and summarizes data collected from other departments.
  • Collects and analyzes samples accordingly to Quality Assurance Procedures at specified frequency, ensuring results are within specified ranges and completed/recorded promptly.
  • Ensures compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all operations and processes.
  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures.
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.

  • Perform internal audits in all areas of the facility, initiate and apply corrective and preventive actions when necessary

  • Ensure that all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are being followed in all areas of the plant.
  • Assist in training new employees on Basic Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Shall carry out additional task responsibilities that maybe assigned to her related to her duties, as may be assigned to her related to her duties, as per the order of per order of the upper management.

II.FOOD SAFETY SPECIALIST

1.     Conduct food safety assessments, evaluate quality systems, and audit QC/QA programs

2.     Provide training in food safety, GMP, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, HACCP, risk assessment, product recall programs, food security/food defense, Food Safety Modernization Act, and quality management systems

3.     Serve as a subject matter expert and technical resource in the food safety area  throughout the Plant operation

4.     Assist in the investigation of product contamination claims

5.     Establish and manage the GMP and HACCP pre-requisite programs and review periodically their effectiveness in mitigating microbiological contamination risk. Revise as required for continuous improvement.

Establish and manage the pest control programs for the plant, and collaborate closely with the Pest Control Service provider.

7.     Spearhead internal HACCP/GMP and Quality audit programs.

8.     Support in OE/Engineering improvement projects to ensure compliance to food safety and hygiene requirements.

9.     Support the Procurement team to ensure existing and new material suppliers meet our Food Safety and hygiene requirements.

10.  Support warehouse to meet our Food Safety requirements and ensure material storage compliance.

III.RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

· In charge in sampling, testing of raw materials for their efficacy, quality and compatibility to come up with a quality, effectual product.

· In charge of testing the packaging materials, for its compliance with the specifications, compatibility with the product and its effect in the total aesthetic appeal  of the product.

· Responsible to carry out stability testing for the stability of the products developed.

· Responsible for batch documents, sample retention program, stability

studies and samples for new products to be launched.

·       Responsible for the whole research and development process, starting from product concept, preparing prototype sample, laboratory testing, and final approval to invest in the developed product.

·       Assess the requirements for new products based on the market needs in cooperation with the Management and selected customer's sample.

·       Improving product range and keeping the product range up to date with the new trends in technology.

·       Coordinate with concerned departments to update the product range with the developed product.

·       Perform complete review, verification, and validation for new products to ensure conformity to requirement and fitness for use.

·       Assist in updating the company catalogues and brochures.

·       Submit periodical reports to management showing the status of R&D progress.

· Establish product design reviews to simplify the manufacturing operations, reduce manufacturing cost and increasing the possibility of product standardization.
