The Construction Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of construction projects, ensuring they meet all specifications and standards. This role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients to create effective and sustainable design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee construction design plans and specifications.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate project feasibility and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
  • Utilize software and tools for modeling and simulation to visualize design concepts.
  • Review and analyze design proposals and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve design and engineering workflows.
  • Implement and enforce engineering standards and best practices.
  • Promote innovative design and cost-saving measures.
  • Drive a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the complete engineering process from concept to completion.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience in engineering design and project delivery (mechanical, civil, electrical, architecture or relevant field).
  • Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and cost control techniques.
  • Familiarity with BOQ preparation, pricing, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in engineering and costing software

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance technical, financial, and managerial responsibilities.
  • High emotional intelligence with a proactive and collaborative mindset.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture or related).
  • Experience in construction industry is a plus
  • 7+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2–4 years in a team leadership role.
  • Experience working with Quantity Surveying teams or in a role with cost monitoring responsibility.
  • Applicant must be willing to work in Santa Rosa City, Laguna
