About the role

As a Senior Category Buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement and inventory management processes at International Toy World, Inc. This full-time position is based in Pasay City, Metro Manila, and will see you responsible for sourcing and negotiating contracts for a range of innovative toy products to support the company's strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and optimise category-specific procurement strategies to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality toys at competitive prices
  2. Liaise with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and identify new supplier and product opportunities
  3. Negotiate favourable contract terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules and quality standards
  4. Monitor supplier performance and inventory levels, making timely adjustments to procurement plans
  5. Prepare and present category-level reports, forecasts and recommendations to senior management
  6. Support the development and implementation of category-specific policies, processes and systems
  7. Mentor and develop more junior members of the procurement team

What we're looking for

  1. 5+ years' experience in a senior procurement or category management role, ideally within the toy or consumer goods industries
  2. Proven track record of delivering cost savings and improving supplier performance
  3. Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  4. Proficient in data analysis and supply chain management principles
  5. Strong commercial acumen and an ability to think strategically
  6. Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related discipline
