The Category Merchandising Manager will be responsible for forecasting, buying, and allocating items within the assigned department/category. This role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for market trends, and the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers. The Merchandising Manager will also manage the entire buying process, facilitate sales and stock plans, and present findings and strategies to top management.

What you will do:

Trendspotter:

  • Dive into the latest fashion trends, analyze market dynamics, and curate merchandise that dazzles our customers.

  • Prepare merchandise selections in the scheduled buying process, ensuring thorough documentation of approved and disapproved items.

Creative Visionary:

  • Collaborate with our design and marketing teams to craft eye-catching displays and campaigns that tell our brand's story.

  • Facilitate sales and stock plans for each store, ensuring the right assortment mix based on local customer preferences, store size, and location

Data-Driven Decision Maker:

  • Utilize sales data and customer insights to develop strategic merchandise plans that drive growth and keep our offerings fresh and exciting.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and strategies to top management, adjusting plans based on sales performance and market analysis.

Team Player:

  • Work closely with buyers and vendors to ensure our merchandise aligns with our brand identity and meets customer expectations.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing while collaborating with product development teams to enhance offerings.

Fashion Organizer:

  • Coordinate product launches, seasonal collections, and promotions to maximize visibility and sales

  • Manage stock levels actively to prevent stock-outs, tracking deliveries, monitoring weeks of supply per store, and coordinating reorders and inter-branch transfers.

The job seeks:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in merchandising or product management, preferably in fashion or retail.

  • Proficiency in merchandising software and tools, along with Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
