Job Summary:

The Financial Accounting Officer manage the accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and taxation, while ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and strong internal controls, while supporting management with insights and strategies for improved financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee preparation and maintenance of accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP, company policies, and government regulations.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Supervise AP/AR functions, ensuring timely vendor payments, billing, and cash flow accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other regulatory bodies, including handling LOA, audits, and tax filings.
  • Monitor and analyze restaurant/F&B costs (food, beverage, labor, operating) and conduct inventory audits with operations and procurement teams.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; provide recommendations for cost efficiency and financial performance improvements.
  • Strengthen internal controls, safeguard assets, and improve financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all financial transactions and reports comply with the systems and financial obligations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior management, to ensure alignment and support of business goals.
  • Enhance and creates policies and procedures for the improvement of departmental efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy, or other related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license will be a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant accounting/finance experience in a F&B/restaurant industry advantage
  • Proficient in accounting systems and advanced Excel.
  • Skilled in financial analysis, cost control, and budgeting.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and external audits.
  • Previous experience working in a multi-entity or multi-state organization is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
