Role Description

Treasury Supervisor are responsible for overseeing our investment portfolio, managing time deposits, and cultivating strong relationships with our banking partners. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of financial markets, exceptional banking experience gained from top Philippine banks, and a proven ability to optimize cash utilization and mitigate financial risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Management:
• Execute investment strategies to optimize returns while adhering to company policies and risk parameters.
• Monitor market trends and economic conditions to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
• Prepare investment reports and analysis for finance director
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal controls related to investments.
• Time Deposit Management:
• Manage the company's time deposit portfolio, including placement, renewal, and redemption.
• Negotiate favorable interest rates and terms with banks.
• Forecast cash flow requirements to ensure optimal liquidity for time deposit placements.
• Bank Relationship Management:
• Act as the primary point of contact for all banking relationships.
• Negotiate banking services agreements, fees, and credit facilities.
• Ensure efficient and cost-effective banking operations, including account opening/closing, treasury systems, and cash management solutions.
• Identify and implement improvements in banking processes and technologies.
• Resolve any banking-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Cash Management & Reporting:
• Collaborate with the finance team to optimize daily cash positioning and liquidity.
• Prepare accurate and timely treasury reports, including cash flow forecasts, bank reconciliations, and investment performance.
• Ensure strong internal controls over cash and banking transactions.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure adherence to all internal policies, external regulations, and statutory requirements related to treasury activities.
• Identify and assess financial risks (e.g., interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, liquidity risk) and propose mitigation strategies.
• Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputable university. A Master's degree or professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in treasury management, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role, preferably within a large multinational corporation or a prominent financial institution (e.g., universal banks, investment banks).
• Demonstrated expertise in managing investment portfolios, including experience with various financial instruments and strategies for maximizing returns on surplus cash.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining strong banking relationships and successfully negotiating financial terms.
• In-depth knowledge of cash management principles, liquidity forecasting, and financial risk management.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Highly analytical with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in financial modeling, treasury management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in the logistics or e-commerce industry is a plus but not mandatory.
• Has banking experience or comes from a banking company.
