Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Management: Fleet Supervisors are responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and compliant with safety regulations. This includes scheduling regular maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Driver Supervision: They supervise drivers, ensuring they adhere to company policies and safety protocols. This includes training new drivers and monitoring their performance.
  • Logistics Coordination: Fleet Supervisors coordinate logistics, including route planning and scheduling to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. They analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations is a critical part of the role. Fleet Supervisors implement safety protocols and conduct regular audits to maintain standards.
  • Record Keeping: They maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, expenses, and performance metrics, which are essential for budgeting and operational efficiency.
