Payroll Master

The Payroll Master is responsible for overseeing and executing payroll operations within a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, benefits, and statutory deductions across multiple accounts or regions. The Payroll Master maintains compliance with local labor laws and internal policies, manages payroll systems, and serves as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries. They collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to support workforce management and ensure employee satisfaction through reliable payroll services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Processing
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations for all employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Reconcile payroll data before transmission to finance or banking systems.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure payroll practices comply with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and submit government-mandated reports (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll records.
System and Data Management
- Maintain and update payroll systems and employee databases.
- Generate payroll-related reports for management and audits.
Employee Support
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Educate employees on payroll policies and benefits programs.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or any related field.
- Proven experience as a payroll master or similar role. Prior BPO/BPM industry experience is preferred
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in Excel and other payroll software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
