IT Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver various data center related projects. This role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting to execution and closure—while ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify gaps between current technology capabilities and business needs.
  • Collaborate with IT analysts to finalize infrastructure designs.
  • Participate in data center site selection, including RFI and RFP processes.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule, including reporting and coordination of testing, rollout, and closure.
  • Ensure projects meet business objectives within cost, time, and quality parameters.
  • Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet required standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Coordinate testing schedules, objectives, and post-mortem reviews.
  • Oversee handover documentation from project teams to operations.
  • Take on additional relevant tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, ITIL Foundation, or Six Sigma are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years managing mid to large-scale IT infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in data center projects, including migration, relocation, or consolidation.
  • Exposure to disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Project management experience working with application development teams.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of complex IT infrastructure environments.
  • Analytical thinking and keen observation skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IT trends and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.

Technical Expertise:

  • Servers, networks, and storage systems.
  • Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
  • Replication and backup technologies.
  • Principles of information security.
  • Contractual deliverables and commitments.
  • Proficiency in business software tools including MS Office and MS Project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
