About the Role

As a Senior Specialist, Sourcing Operations, you will lead and oversee end-to-end production activities across a portfolio of factories, ensuring alignment with VF's quality standards, production timelines, and operational goals. This role combines technical expertise, operational leadership, and stakeholder collaboration to drive continuous improvement and ensure product excellence.

You'll play a key role in mentoring junior specialists, resolving production challenges in real-time, and supporting sustainability initiatives across the supply chain. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong production acumen and a passion for quality and innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Production Specialists and factory teams, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Drive risk mitigation during Technical Design (TD) and Pre-Production (T4) meetings, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Support Quality Management (QM) in enforcing SOPs and product specifications during mass production.
  • Monitor and ensure achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), including On-Time Production (OTP).
  • Collaborate with VF and factory planning teams to validate production schedules and optimize output.
  • Make real-time production decisions, including line balancing and automation recommendations.
  • Oversee production start-up for high-risk styles to ensure quality, aesthetics, and performance.
  • Resolve daily production issues (e.g., material delays, low output) in collaboration with internal and factory teams.
  • Support Responsible Sourcing Operations (RSO) in verifying social/environmental compliance and implementing sustainability programs (e.g., Higg Index, WCD, LABS).
  • Facilitate automation adoption and process improvements at factory sites.
  • Prepare production reports and insights for management, leveraging data analytics to enhance performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning for quality claims.

What We're Looking For

  • In-depth knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, materials, and construction methods.
  • Proven experience in production operations or technical roles (4–6 years minimum).
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for product quality and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in product development or technical roles is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures and global teams.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Energetic, motivated, and adaptable mindset.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Experience working with overseas factories and multicultural teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PLM systems, and production planning tools.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages (Vietnamese, Khmer, Mandarin) are an advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region.
