JOB TITLE: Line Cook/Commis 3

LOCATION: Binondo Boys Congressional Branch (24/7 Operations), occassional visits at Food Records Inc. Commissary - Scout Rallos, Quezon City

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, On-site

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Line Cook (Commis 3) at Binondo Boys, you'll handle day-to-day cooking and preparation inside the store while keeping your station organized, efficient, and properly stocked. Most of the items and ingredients are delivered from our commissary, so accurate receiving, proper storage, and basic inventory tracking are also part of your responsibilities.

This role requires speed, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with shifting schedules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cooking & Preparation

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes and store procedures.
  • Set up and maintain your station for smooth kitchen flow.
  • Ensure portions, flavor, and quality are consistent at all times.

Inventory Handling

  • Receive stocks from the commissary and check for accuracy and condition.
  • Organize and store ingredients properly following FIFO and labeling standards.
  • Track daily usage and report low stocks or discrepancies when needed.

Kitchen Documentation

  • Complete basic kitchen forms such as checklists, temperature logs, and daily usage sheets.
  • Follow store guidelines for proper documentation and reporting.

Cleanliness & Safety

  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout the shift.
  • Follow safety and sanitation practices, especially when working in hot or high-heat areas.
  • Support general cleaning and closing/opening procedures.

Teamwork & Reliability

  • Work closely with the store team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Follow assigned schedules, including rotating or shifting hours.
  • Communicate issues early and support the team during high-volume periods.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as a line cook, commis, or in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Ability to follow recipes, systems, and standard kitchen flow.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced, heat-exposed area.
  • Good work ethic, punctuality, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a 24/7 kitchen or high-volume environment.
  • Familiarity with basic kitchen documentation and stock handling.
  • Experience with new-store setups or pioneering teams.
