Job Title: Fixed Asset Associate

Job Description:

The Fixed Asset Associate is responsible for managing and accounting for the company's fixed assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with applicable regulations. This role involves maintaining detailed records of asset acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and revaluations. The ideal candidate will work closely with other departments to ensure effective asset management and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, ensuring all assets are accurately recorded and tracked.

  • Process asset acquisitions and disposals in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

  • Calculate and record depreciation for fixed assets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Conduct regular physical inventory audits of fixed assets to verify existence and condition.

  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure proper classification and reporting of fixed assets.

  • Prepare and generate reports related to fixed assets, including capital expenditure forecasts and asset utilization analytics.

  • Assist with budgeting and financial planning related to fixed asset investments.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to fixed assets.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and data regarding fixed assets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in fixed asset accounting or a similar role preferred.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly related to asset management and depreciation.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with fixed asset management software and systems.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards affecting fixed assets.

  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
