1.0 DUTIES:

1.1 Reviews documents submitted by companies for credit line

1.2 Reviews credit investigation made so that an intelligent appraisal of the customer's worth, character and ability to pay maybe ascertained to justify extension of credit.

1.3 Recommends to the management the approval of credit line from companies ascertained to have creditworthiness.

1.4 Reviews the weekly and monthly collection report.

1.5 Monitors high folio report daily

1.6 Monitors and coordinates with other department the reconciliation and closure of all paymaster

1.7 Recommends a write off of uncollectible accounts

1.8 Administers and implements the established credit policies & procedures

1.9 Reports immediately any unfavorable information received affecting a customer's credit standing so that appropriate action maybe taken

1.10 Supervises the activities of the credit staff in order to achieve an efficient and effective performance of each individual's duties and responsibilities:

1.11 Sees to it that all accounts are recorded and traced

1.12 Knows all the history of accounts

1.13 Keeps a complete file of unpaid accounts

1.14 Sees to it that once a month a credit staff meeting is held to discuss problems and solutions to speed up collections.

1.15 Approves and disapproves the send bill arrangement.

1.16 Attends the monthly Association of Credit Executives in the Tourism Industry (ACETI)

1.17 Sees to it that all policies and procedures as contained in the Credit manual are observed

1.18 Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior. (Does not apply to top management.)

2.0 QUALIFICATIONS:

2.1 Education

2.1.1 At least College graduate with a degree in Accountancy or related courses. Certified Public Accountant an advantage.

2.2 Work Experience/s:

2.2.1 At least 4-5 years working experience related to Accounting.

2.3 Special Qualities:

2.3.1 Excellent touch typing skills.

2.3.2 Excellent oral and written communication skills.

2.3.3 Strong interpersonal skills.

2.3.4 Strong decision –making abilities.
