Job description:

The Internal Audit and Compliance Officer will be responsible for preparing and examining audit reports, conducting financial audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

The role also involves analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies, and communicating findings to management.

The Internal Audit and Compliance Officer will work closely with the General Manager to improve internal controls and operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops policies: Creates and implements internal policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Continuous monitoring: Maintains ongoing oversight of high-risk areas to ensure continuous adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. This is the "second line of defense".
  • Proactive guidance: Acts as a subject matter expert, advising management and staff on how to operate within a specific regulatory framework.
  • Training and education: Conducts training sessions to keep employees up-to-date on compliance requirements and foster an ethical culture.
  • Incident response: Manages the response to compliance breaches, creating and monitoring corrective action plans

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prepare and examine Audit Reports
  • Strong Analytical Skills and proficiency in financial analysis
  • Finance and Financial Audits expertise
  • Excellent Communication skills for reporting and presenting findings
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is a plus
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
