Typical Responsibilities

  • Receiving and Inventory:Inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, logging items into inventory systems, and maintaining an organized stock.
  • Order Fulfillment:Accurately picking items from stock, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch.
  • Shipping and Logistics:Loading and unloading trucks, confirming that orders match shipping schedules, and ensuring goods are labeled correctly.
  • Inventory Management:Performing regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure record accuracy, updating inventory management systems (WMS), and identifying discrepancies.
  • Equipment Operation:Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling machinery.
  • Warehouse Maintenance:Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, reporting hazards, and performing routine equipment checks.
  • Safety and Compliance:Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures and complying with relevant regulations.

  • Physical Stamina:The ability to perform tasks involving walking, standing, lifting, and moving for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail:Crucial for accurately picking orders, checking inventory, and ensuring products are correctly labeled.

Work EnvironmentWarehouse staff often work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to various conditions, including loud noise levels, dust, moving objects, and potentially extreme temperatures.
