JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Oversees the operation functions of the hotel based on the organizational chart;
  • Holds regular briefings and meetings with all the department heads;
  • Ensures full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards;
  • Leads all key property issues, including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment;
  • Handles complaints and oversees the service recovery procedures;
  • Spearheads the preparation, presentation, and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual operating budget, sales and marketing plan, and capital budget;
  • Manages ongoing profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded;
  • Ensures that all decisions are based on the best interest of the hotel and the management;
  • Delivers the hotel budget goals and sets other short and long term strategic goals for the company;
  • Develops improvement actions and carry out the cost savings;
  • Strongly understands the P&L statements and has an ability to react with impactful strategies;
  • Closely monitors the hotel's business reports and takes necessary actions required;
  • Ensures that the monthly financial outlooks for rooms, food and beverage, and admin are on target and accurate;
  • Maximized room yields and hotel revenue through innovative sales strategies and management programs;
  • Prepares monthly financial reporting to the owners and stakeholders;
  • Creates strategic plans and budget based on the revenue and costs to be reported to the owners;
  • Helps in procurement of operating supplies and equipment, and contracting with the third party vendors for essential services;
  • Acts as the final decision maker, if authorized, in hiring key personnel;
  • Coordinates with the HODs for the execution of all activities and functions;
  • Oversees and manages all departments and works closely with the heads on a daily basis;
  • Manages and develops the Hotel Executive Team to ensure career progression and development;
  • Takes accountability and responsibility for all guest complaints;
  • Provides effective leadership to the hotel team members;
  • Leads in all aspects of business planning;
  • Responds to audit to ensure continuous improvement
  • Handles corporate clients and takes part in new client acquisition along with the Sales Team whenever required;
  • Assists in residential sales and development of strong sales prospects;
  • Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both with the internal and external audit; and
  • Responsible for the legalization and compliance of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Fire Regulations, and other required legal documents.
