We are seeking an experienced
Contracting Engineer
to manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle for large-scale engineering projects. This role is critical in ensuring contractual compliance across engineering, procurement, and construction phases, while driving risk mitigation, claims management, and effective stakeholder collaboration.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to align project objectives, manage contractual obligations, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate comprehensive contracts, defining project scope, timelines, costs, payment terms, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams—engineering, procurement, construction management, project controls, legal—as well as clients, consultants, and subcontractors for unified execution.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and schedules, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all project phases, from bid stage to commissioning.
  • Analyze contract documents to highlight critical clauses (indemnities, LDs, force majeure, warranties, dispute resolution).
  • Provide concise internal summaries of key contract terms for operational clarity and compliance.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to contractual terms, including subcontractor and procurement milestones.
  • Conduct structured risk assessments and maintain updated risk registers.
  • Implement proactive strategies to minimize schedule delays, cost overruns, quality issues, and disputes.
  • Prepare and negotiate claims (EOTs, cost compensation, change orders) in line with governing frameworks such as FIDIC.
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements in alignment with project goals.
  • Support additional company initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related); Master's in Engineering, Project Management, or Business preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in contract administration, commercial support, or claims management within the EPC sector.
  • Proven track record in working with EPC contractors, Owner's Engineers, OEMs, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and service contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contractual clauses related to scope, payments, variations, delays, force majeure, indemnities, and dispute resolution.
