MDM (Master Data Management) Data Steward L1 Support

Required skills Minimal

  • Excellent English communication skills for providing feedback and collaborating with data stewards and data owners
  • Proficiency in English (B2)
  • 2+ year experience with customer support, data & application support
  • Strong understanding of Direct and Indirect Master Data Management (MDM) processes
    • Ability to perform detailed data validation and quality checks
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail

  • Familiarity with below technologies and areas of expertise:

  • Master Data Management

  • ERP (SAP) systems
  • CRM systems
  • MS Excel
  • Confluence JIRA Service Desk or other service management tool
  • Experience with SQL and DMBS tools

  • Ability to work within a 24x7 support environment

  • 8h shifts to cover EST (UTC-5) time zone

  • Handover to polish L2 support team

  • Service-oriented attitude, patience, thoroughness and good attention to detail
  • Experience with data governance frameworks

  • Familiarity with

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and manage data change requests for customer/vendor creation and updates
  • Approve or reject Master Data submissions with clear, actionable comments
  • Ensure completeness and compliance of submitted data with B-I processes
  • Monitor MDGx queues and validate submissions against required standards
  • Escalate approved items to subsequent B-I approval tiers as needed

Additional responsibilities

  • Handle customer support tickets related to Master Data (inquiries, issues, updates)
  • Maintain direct contact with data owners to gather or correct missing information
  • Perform quality checks such as deduplication and process compliance
  • Raise concerns about data quality and governance to team leads or data owners
  • Provide on-call support for urgent Master Data operations
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
