What you'll be doing

  • Teach reading classes using the RAZ books focusing on improving student's reading skills,  comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary.
  • Implementing effective teaching strategies to foster language acquisition and improve students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
  • Assessing students' progress and providing personalized feedback to support their progress and development.
  • Collaborating with the teaching team to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our ESL program.

What we're looking for

  • An experienced teacher with a good accent
  • Teaching certificate (if not available, the teacher must be willing to obtain a teaching certificate during the first few months of teaching)
  • We also accept applicants with no teaching experience, as long as you graduated from a good university.
  • Can open time slots from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Weekdays ,) 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM + 4:00 PM -10 :00 PM (Weekends)

Requirements:

  • Work-at-home
  • Clean and organized teaching environment
  • Stable and reliable internet connection
  • High-definition camera with a clear and noise-free microphone
  • Familiarity with Classin (if not, we can schedule a training for you)

What we offer

  • Contribute to the development of a dynamic and innovative ESL program

  • Teaching rate of 100 Php ( 25 mins) -240 Php (50 mins)
  • Earn up to 30-60k Php a month if you open more slots during peak hours and teach more than 220 classes a month. (Bonuses included)
  • There will be extra bonuses for excellent teachers in the future.

About us

Sponge English provides a 1-on-1  graded reading class with Chinese students. Our students range from 5-14 years old.  We help students master more than 20 reading strategies and reading comprehension skills that cultivate critical thinking, analytical problem-solving skills, and reading skills. We build student's competitiveness and core understanding of the English language.
