What You'll Do:
The Loan Processing Officer provides comprehensive support to the mortgage brokers throughout the loan application process. This role is responsible for accurate data entry, document preparation, coordination with lenders and solicitors, and ensuring smooth loan progression from lodgment to settlement. The ideal candidate is reliable, independent, and confident in taking ownership of their tasks while maintaining clear communication with the broker and external partners.
- Perform accurate data entry into the Broker CRM and NextGen Apply Online platform.
- Prepare forms and documents including discharge requests, FHOG (First Home owner Grant) forms, and servicing calculators.
- Lodge applications to lenders, ensuring all required documentation and supporting information are complete.
- Track applications through to settlement, monitoring progress and proactively following up as needed.
- Coordinate with lenders, valuers, and solicitors/conveyancers to facilitate valuations, document sign-offs, and settlement timelines.
- Provide phone and email support to brokers during Australian business hours (9 AM–6 PM AEST/AEDT).
- Order valuations and manage updates from ordering through completion.
- Liaise with solicitors and lenders to ensure all settlement conditions are met.
- Keep brokers informed with regular status updates, identifying and flagging any delays or issues early.
- Maintain proper file documentation, accuracy, and compliance with internal and lender requirements.
- Assist with general broker administration, ad hoc loan processing tasks, and process improvement initiatives when required.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in loan processing, mortgage broking support, or a similar role within the Australian lending or financial services market. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or any related field.
- Proficient in Broker CRM and NextGen (Apply Online) platforms, with solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Highly system-proficient, adaptable to learning new platforms and tools with ease.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong data accuracy and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously, prioritise deadlines, and maintain efficiency under pressure.
- Independent, reliable, and proactive—takes initiative, communicates clearly, and seeks clarification when needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with brokers, lenders, and solicitors.
