About the role

Pankey Cash and Paylite Lending Inc. is seeking a driven and experienced Collection Specialist to join our dynamic team in our Malate, Manila City office. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in recovering overdue payments and maintaining the financial health of our lending portfolios.

What you'll be doing

  • Proactively contact customers with overdue payments to negotiate repayment plans and settlements
  • Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and payment arrangements
  • Identify and escalate high-risk accounts to management for further action
  • Collaborate with the credit and legal teams to ensure a consistent approach to debt recovery
  • Assist in the development and implementation of collection strategies and policies
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on collection performance and results
  • Maintain a professional and empathetic approach when dealing with customers

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a collection, credit control or customer service role within the financial services industry
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize a varied workload
  • Proficient in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and debt recovery software
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding collection targets
