The Opportunity

We are seeking a Glazing Drafter/Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong glazing drafting or estimation experience with an Australian company and a solid understanding of local industry standards. While prior experience with estimation and Softtech V6 is preferred, extensive training will be provided in these areas for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for producing accurate shop drawings and production documentation for our fabrication and installation teams, as well as developing cost estimates for glazing projects in line with company standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate shop drawings and production documentation for windows, doors, and glazing systems
  • Review architectural drawings, building plans, and project specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Support the preparation of cost estimates, considering labor, material, equipment, and time requirements
  • Input and manage project data in Softtech V6 software (training provided)
  • Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure alignment of drawings and estimates with operational requirements
  • Ensure documentation is completed with precision and in a timely manner
  • Work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality of all project documentation, proposals, and company information
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:
  • Glazing drafting or estimation experience with an Australian company (essential)
  • Thorough knowledge of Australian glazing standards and codes (essential)
  • Strong ability to interpret building plans and prepare technical drawings
  • Estimation experience and Softtech V6 knowledge (preferred but not essential – training provided)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • High levels of accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail
