Application Support Lead

JOB SUMMARY:

This position involves managing all business processes based on approved blueprints and configurations, with the primary objective of enhancing business operations, improving efficiency, boosting productivity, and increasing profitability. The role focuses on overseeing and aligning business processes, implementing and maintaining ERP systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of these systems. It also includes analyzing data to support informed decision-making, optimizing business processes, and ensuring that stakeholders have the necessary information and insights.

The ultimate goal is to ensure that ERP systems run efficiently, business processes are optimized, and stakeholders can make data-driven decisions effectively.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

User Support

• Provide in-depth ERP knowledge to help support business and project objectives with an emphasis but not limited to the SD, FICO and MM Modules.
• Must apply strong knowledge of the business processes for designing, developing, and testing ERP functions associated with financial operations, which includes general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset management, cost center accounting, product cost controlling, profitability analysis, and profit center accounting and should be governed by accounting standard BIR rules and regulations.
• Handle escalated ERP-related issues from application support analysts

System Monitoring

• Monitor ERP system performance and availability.
• Set up and manage alerts for system issues and performance degradation.

Incident Resolution

• Troubleshoot and resolve ERP application issues.
• Coordinate with other IT teams and vendors for issue resolution.

System Maintenance

• Perform regular maintenance activities, such as backups, updates, and patches.
• Ensure that the ERP system is compliant with company policies and industry regulations.

Configuration Management

• Configure and implement ERP system based on new or changing business requirements
• Document configuration changes and maintain configuration records.

Quality Assurance and Testing

• Conduct unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and functionality of ERP solutions. This includes developing test cases, executing tests, documenting results, and working with developers to address any issues identified during testing.

Release Management

• Plan and oversee ERP system releases and upgrades.
• Test and validate new ERP features and functionalities before deployment.

Training and Support

• Organize and lead training sessions for end-users, ensuring the effective transfer of knowledge and best practices. This includes preparing training materials and conducting workshops.
• Create user guides and documentation for common ERP tasks.

Vendor Management

• Coordinate with ERP vendors for support and enhancement requests.
• Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs).

Audit and Compliance

• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Implement and manage access controls and security measures for the ERP system.

Reporting and Analysis

• Generate and analyze reports on ERP system performance and usage.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Collaboration

• Take charge of or contribute to ERP-related projects and initiatives. This involves facilitating blueprinting and design sessions, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned on project goals. Additionally, team up closely with developers to create detailed functional requirements, ensuring that the final solutions meet business needs and standards.
• Work closely with other stakeholders to understand operational issues and develop solutions to increase operational capabilities with precision to meet its business objectives.
• Communicate effectively with business users and internal teams to deliver functional requirements, assisting with documentation, creating process maps, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or College graduate in the field of Business Accounting with technical capability.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in system support.
• Data analysis – Must have knowledge with SQL, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio and Word or Google App equivalent.
• Must have experience working on mid-scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
• Understanding of Indices, fundamentals and analytical data, returns level data etc.
