Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for monitoring the entire expressway through available CCTV systems, radio communications, and the incident management system. The role focuses on controlling traffic and security operations and recording all activities in HORUS, the Intelligent Transport System. The position ensures the timely and efficient mobilization of Patrol Crew, Emergency Medical Services, Towing Services, and other necessary resources to address accidents and incidents promptly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Monitors the condition of the expressway to ensure that it is free from traffic hazards and to ensure a safe and seamless passage.
  2. Ensures timely and effective mobilization of Patrol Crew, Emergency Medical Services, and Incident Response Team at the incident site.

  4. Ensures that all incidents are monitored and logged in the incident management system with accurate dispatch times and end times.
  5. Provides real-time traffic update to senior management, grantors, and media through various means, i.e, Email, SMS, Social Media, as per approved procedure.
  6. Gathers and analyzes reports by the Patrol Crew as well as reports by the concerned motorists to identify areas for improvement or rectification and initiate actions to address these.
  7. Implements appropriate traffic management plans to reduce the effects of incidents on the motorists and the responding personnel.
  8. Operates portable radio, measuring devices, calculator, camera, tape recorder, and other equipment as needed and ensures that these are properly used and taken care of.He/She shall also ensure the cleanliness of his work workstation at all times.
  9. Prepares shift reports and submits these on time to the Supervisor.
  10. Provides exceptional customer service to the motorist and general public.
  11. Shall follow all the safety rules and protocols set by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education: Graduate of any four (4) year course

B. Experience:

  • With working knowledge in a control center, security or dispatching operations
  • Computer literate with above average skills in Excel and preferably with experience in radio communication/operations.
  • Has the ability to organize activities and personnel as per plan
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Can make good decisions and provide sound solutions whenever needed
  • Has a background in report writing and incident response
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Team player

Others:

  • May be required to stay beyond shift hours until a reliever or TCR Specialists become available.
  • Required to be on a call status.
  • Required to care for and operate all assigned tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner
  • Must have the ability to detect malfunctions and defects of equipment
