ROLE SUMMARY

The Sales Technician is a hybrid field personnel responsible for (1) driving aggressive sales revenue in medical/hospital supplies and equipment and (2) providing immediate, reliable technical response for installations, preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and customer assistance.

This dual capability ensures lower manpower cost, faster response time, higher customer satisfaction, and immediate sales-to-service turnover—directly contributing to operational efficiency and ROI.


2. CORE DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. SALES FUNCTIONS
1. Revenue Generation

· Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets (AOP-based).

· Conduct aggressive hospital coverage, client visits, product demos, and presentations.

· Identify and close opportunities for consumables, equipment, accessories, and repeat orders.

2. Territory Development

· Maintain active presence in assigned hospitals/areas.

· Build strong relationships with purchasing, end-users, engineers, and doctors.

· Conduct market mapping, competitor checks, price validation, and lead generation.

3. Sales Activity Execution

· Daily coverage and call reports.

· Pipeline management and sales forecasting.

· Assist in bid preparation, quotation, PR-to-PO monitoring, and collection coordination.

4. Product Mastery

· Master product technical features, applications, benefits, and competitive edge.

· Support in device demonstrations and clinical application.


B. TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS
1. Installation & Commissioning

· Perform prompt and proper installation of equipment following SOP and manufacturer protocols.

· Conduct user orientation and basic in-service training.

2. Preventive Maintenance (PM)

· Execute scheduled PM with proper documentation.

· Ensure equipment performance is safe, stable, and compliant.

3. Basic Troubleshooting & Site Response

· Attend to basic troubleshooting within the same day or next-day response.

· Provide incident assessment and escalate major technical issues to the Technical Supervisor.

4. Documentation & Technical Reports

· Prepare service reports, PM logs, incident reports, and warranty documents.
