Business Development Officer

Ascend Building Solutions Inc., an affiliate company of Polylite Industrial Corporation, is looking for a Business Development Officer who will work with a team to ensure excellent product and service delivery. They have a wealth of knowledge about a product, or range, and also analyze market trends, search out new business in the assigned area, develop sales, price and profitability strategies, build client relationships, recommend improvements, identify opportunities, and increase revenue.
- Generates high-quality sales leads, do follow ups after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries.
- Promote, sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. Demonstrates products and services to existing and potential customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Answers all product - and/or service-related questions and addressing queries promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Establishes, maintains, and expands the current customer base of the company
- Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customer
- Work with business units in developing business plans to achieve company revenue goals.
- Identifies new customers and modifies ways on how to retain existing customers.
- Develops specific plan to ensure the revenue growth in all of the company's products in the assigned area by maximizing the return of time investment for the assigned territory
- Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the market place, competitors and industry trends in order to identify new business and marketing opportunities.
Job Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Architecture, Marketing or equivalent.
- With at least 2 years sales, marketing, or dealer distribution experience in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Strong business and technical acumen is a must. Quickly understands and interprets customer problems and navigates mid to complex technical processes.
- Strong knowledge of customer service principles, techniques, systems, and standards.
- Must have strong management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Highly proactive, self-motivated and able to work without close supervision. Ability to learn and apply technical information and instructions.
- Preferably knows how to drive a 4-wheel vehicle or motorcycle.
