Architect

Qualifications:

• Must have a professional degree in architecture from an accredited program
• 2+ years of professional experience working in an architectural design-related field
• Having a professional license is not required but will be advantageous
• Highly familiar with MEP and Structural building systems
• Working knowledge of zoning, building code, accessibility code
• Very proficient with computer-assisted design software such as AutoCAD and Sketchup
• Enhanced rendering capabilities with V-Ray, Enscape and/or Lumion, as well as post-processing and composition skills with Adobe Photoshop
• Creative and compelling graphic communication skills from conceptual diagrams, well-composed design presentations to impactful 3D renderings
• Proficient with other data management software such as Word and Excel
• Experience working throughout all stages of projects from concept to completion
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• With a detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects while effectively meeting their deadlines
• A digital portfolio of professional projects, plus any personal design examples that showcase your ability to translate design ideas into visuals: diagrams, plans (complete set of 2D working drawings), vignettes, renderings, physical models, simulated walkthroughs.
• Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing is required

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of an architect to assist in the development of multiple projects from pre-design phase through construction administration as well as participate in the design process
• Coordinate with design-build team of architect/s, estimator/s, construction project manager/s and consulting engineer/s in a collaborative effort to deliver projects on time, on budget, and always exceeding the client's expectations
• Prepare and develop contract deliverables (such as as-built drawings, presentation drawings, and construction drawings) for construction / bidding / installation purposes
• Create a variety of high-quality exterior and interior architectural 3D models, renderings and walkthroughs
• Assist in developing persuasive presentations to prospective clients, when needed
• Demonstrate an understanding of building materials, systems, specifications, codes, details and construction techniques by translating these in the contract deliverables to-be produced as mentioned above
• Perform general office responsibilities (library and material upkeep, assist in developing project/CAD standards, etc.)
• Conduct site visits for project monitoring and documentation and participate in project visits and/or site meetings, liaising with contractors and suppliers as needed
• Visit showrooms and suppliers, evaluate materials, and assist in purchasing as necessary
