Assistant Operations Manager
We are looking for Assistant Operations Manager who will oversee daily supermarket operations to hit profit targets, stay compliant, and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage front-end (sales floor, checkout) and support back-end (stock, inventory, receiving) activities. Follow SOPs for opening/closing, cash handling, safety, and equipment upkeep.
- Hit sales, margin, and cost targets through smart merchandising, shrink control, and labor management.
- Oversee stock receiving, rotation, freshness checks, and clearance of expired items.
- Supervise, train, and schedule staff; handle final interview and performance reviews.
- Ensure food safety, health, and labor regulations are met.
- Maintain service standards, handle complaints, and monitor feedback.
- Reporting Track sales, wastage, and labor metrics; find ways to improve.
- Execute marketing campaigns and in-store displays on time.
- Help plan labor and operational costs.
- Step in for Operations/Store Manager as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Retail Management, Operations Management, or any related field.
- College levels with strong retail experience may also be considered
- At least 2–4 years of experience in supermarket or retail operations, preferably as a supervisor or Assistant Manager.
- Strong background in day-to-day store operations: inventory, merchandising, manpower scheduling, and customer service.
- Experience in fresh and dry goods, local supplier coordination, and store audits preferred.
- Advantage if previously employed in supermarkets.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php23, Php25,000.00 per month
