SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain complex .NET applications, including designing, coding, testing, and deploying new features, as well as maintaining existing applications.
• Design scalable, high-performance architectures, selecting the appropriate tools, frameworks, and patterns to ensure robust application design and maintainability.
• Design and implement efficient database schemas, data structures, and data flows

(SQL and NoSQL, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

to store, retrieve, and manage application data. Optimize database queries and data models for performance.
- Create and maintain RESTful and web services for seamless communication between client and server applications and third-party systems.
- Ensure applications are responsive and optimized for performance, including load time, efficient code, and scalable infrastructure.
- Implement security best practices, such as data encryption, authentication, authorization, and vulnerability management, to protect applications from threats.
- Implement and enforce coding standards, best practices, and secure coding principles. Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality code across the team.
- Conduct impact and risk analysis during the design phase to evaluate potential effects and to identify risks associated with proposed changes or new features.
- Work with cross-functional teams including external vendors/partners, QA testers, business analysts, business users and other departments to ensure that requirements are fulfilled.
- Develop and update technical specifications to ensure thorough and precise documentation, supporting the maintainability of software applications, including code structure, architecture, and technical workflows.
- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests. Evaluate test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure thorough and accurate software testing is conducted.
- Help configure development and staging environments to reflect the production environment.
- Prepare deployment plans and procedures to ensure a smooth, error-free release of software releases, including detailed steps for execution, rollback strategies and verification process to minimize disruptions and maintain system stability.
- Provide post-live support to ensure application stability by actively monitoring performance and security, tracking and resolving errors and bugs, managing incident responses, and conducting post-mortem analyses to prevent future issues.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Guide junior software engineers by conducting code reviews, sharing best practices, and assisting in their professional growth.
- Stay Updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new frameworks to continuously improve application development processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned and required.

Job Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in software applications using .NET Framework.

Knowledgeable in the following programming languages:  C#, ASP.NET, ASP.Net Core, .NET Console, .NET for IoT, Windows Services, WinForms, WPF, Web API, Powershell Core; and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

• Strong understanding of database design and SQL, with experience using SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and architecture and interacting with sensors, actuators, and other devices.
• Experience in working with hardware integration is a big plus.
• Previous experience in fintech companies or banks is a big plus

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area is required;
• With at least 3 years of computer experience as a software developer is an advantage.
