Job Description

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and supervising construction activities with a strong focus on pipelaying and water infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all works are completed on time, within budget, and according to approved plans, quality standards, and safety regulations. The Project Engineer will coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth execution of projects, particularly those involving water distribution systems, sewer lines, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and executing water infrastructure and pipelaying projects.
  • Review, interpret, and implement project plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Supervise and monitor site works, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Oversee installation of pipelines, valves, fittings, and other water distribution/sewer infrastructure components.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and suppliers to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Prepare reports, project updates, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project costs, resources, and timelines to achieve project goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions for construction-related challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer.
  • Must have a valid Master Plumber License.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry.
  • With relevant experience in pipelaying, water distribution, sewer lines, or water infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, water system design, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficient in project management tools, MS Office, and AutoCAD (or related software).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to be assigned or relocated to project sites as needed.
