Communicates with reinsurers and seeks approval on underwriting endeavors. Implements activities to increase approval rates for new business. Partners with distribution channels to grow the business.

Develops underwriting training modules for distributors and underwriters. Contributes to achieving NBI and persistency targets. Ensures prompt and accurate risk evaluation.

Tracks the number of issued policies and acceptance of new business within risk criteria. Develops and conducts underwriting training modules. Improves distribution satisfaction ratings.

Manages stretched working hours during cut-offs. Operational Management (cont.)Provides leadership, support, and guidance to the underwriting team. Ensures team compliance with organizational goals, objectives, and standards.

Interprets and implements guidelines for the team. Assesses client risk to the company. Evaluates business procedures for efficiency and drives process improvements.

Establishes controls and feedback systems to monitor department operations. Prepares and maintains necessary reports. Processes refunds and monitors LID (life insurance deposits).

Achieves KPI targets. Ensures accessibility of medical providers. Workforce ManagementManages team performance, conducts coaching, and implements corrective actions.

Plans and allocates resources to meet productivity and quality goals. Builds a high-performing team. Staff DevelopmentProvides career and development opportunities.

Quantifiable Data Related to JobApproval authority up to 50M.Turnaround times: 2 days non-med, 4 days medical, 11 days reinsured cases. QualificationsGraduate of a 4-year bachelor's degree, preferably with a medical background. Minimum 10 years of experience in life insurance underwriting.

Minimum 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience. Passed at least one ALU exam.
