Role Overview

The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating, coordinating, and tracking marketing campaigns that attract guests, engage audiences, and grow the Smart Suites brand. This includes managing social media platforms, assisting with SEO, supporting event promotions, and maintaining brand consistency across all marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Write and edit content for social media, blogs, and email campaigns
  • Coordinate with designers or freelancers for creative assets
  • Track campaign performance and prepare basic reports
  • Maintain brand consistency across all channels
  • Support SEO initiatives by optimising content for search engines
  • Assist with marketing events and promotions
  • Keep marketing templates, files, and assets organised

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content coordination (internship or freelance work is considered)
  • Strong writing skills for short, engaging captions and basic ad copy
  • Familiarity with Canva, Buffer or Later, and Google Workspace
  • Basic understanding of social media metrics and reporting
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced business environment
  • Bonus: Basic SEO knowledge or experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp or ActiveCampaign

Tools We Use

Canva, Buffer, Later, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Zoho, HubSpot, Meta Ads Manager, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper, and other AI-powered content creation and marketing automation platforms

Work Arrangement

Remote work with flexible scheduling. Contractor must ensure availability during agreed collaboration hours.

Engagement Terms

This is an Independent Contractor position. The salary is all-in and inclusive of any applicable contractor costs.

  • Live Marketing Skills Assessment (60 to 90 minutes)
  • Behavioral Interview (60 minutes)
  • Pre-Engagement: IT Audit, Reference Check, Call with Founder

Salary: AUD 1,500 to 1,800 (All In)
