About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data & Network Management Engineer for a 3-month project with a global technology company. This role focuses on building the next generation of a network management and data platform, transforming legacy monitoring systems into a modern, data-driven, cloud-integrated solution.

You'll work with global teams of developers, network engineers, and data specialists to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, network monitoring systems, and real-time telemetry solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for professionals passionate about bridging network operations and data engineering in a high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data schemas and models to unify network management systems.
  • Build and optimize real-time data pipelines for telemetry and performance data.
  • Integrate and manage SNMP (v2/v3), MIBs, and trap-based monitoring systems.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Network Operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable monitoring solutions.
  • Implement and manage observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across multiple systems.
  • Document technical designs, data flows, and standard operating procedures for network monitoring.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in backend, data engineering, or network operations roles.
  • Strong knowledge of SNMP architecture, including MIBs, traps, and polling workflows.
  • Skilled in Java, Go, Python, or Kotlin for backend or data engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, Spark, Pulsar, or similar streaming technologies.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Helm.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with NETCONF/YANG, gNMI, or TR-069 protocols
  • Familiarity with Prometheus exporters, Grafana dashboards, or OpenTelemetry
  • Exposure to AMI or IoT/utility network systems
