Job Summary:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all labor and tax regulations. The role covers end-to-end payroll administration, computation of employee compensation and benefits, preparation of tax reports and filings, and maintenance of payroll records in compliance with Philippine laws.

Key Responsibilities:Payroll Administration

  • Process semi-monthly or monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Compute salaries, overtime pay, allowances, bonuses, and other earnings.
  • Verify attendance, leaves, and timesheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain updated employee records, including salary adjustments and deductions.

Tax Compliance and Reporting

  • Compute and withhold employee income taxes accurately in accordance with BIR regulations.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR reports (e.g., 1601C, 1604C, Alphalist).
  • Ensure timely remittance of employee withholding taxes to the BIR.
  • Coordinate with Accounting for reconciliation of payroll tax accounts.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and implement necessary payroll adjustments.

Government Contributions

  • Prepare, compute, and remit mandatory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) on time.
  • Handle government reports such as SSS R3, PhilHealth RF-1, and Pag-IBIG MCRF.
  • Assist employees with inquiries related to government benefits and contributions.

Year-End and Audit Support

  • Prepare annualized tax computations for employees.
  • Generate and distribute BIR Form 2316 to employees.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing payroll and tax documentation.

Process Improvement and System Management

  • Ensure payroll system integrity and data accuracy.
  • Recommend improvements in payroll and tax processes for efficiency.
  • Coordinate with IT or software providers for payroll system updates and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in payroll and tax functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, labor laws, and statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and experience using payroll systems or HRIS (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sprout, or similar).
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Experience in handling BIR audits or year-end tax reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of eFPS and eBIRForms filing systems.
  • Experience in payroll for multiple entities or clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php21,000.00 per month
