Project Engineer

I. Job Summary:

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, design, estimation, and implementation of engineering projects. The role involves generating project drawings and designs, preparing material estimates and bid plans, and monitoring project progress. The Project Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that technical requirements and project deliverables are met effectively and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

Design and Technical Documentation

· Generate detailed project plans, technical drawings, and layout designs using AutoCAD or other design tools

· Ensure all designs are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with project specifications and client requirements

· Prepare and organize technical documents and drawings for submission, review, and construction purposes

Material Estimation & Bid Preparation

· Prepare detailed material take-offs based on project scope and design

· Assist in the preparation of financial bid plans in coordination with the Sales or Service team

· Conduct initial cost estimates and suggest value-engineering solutions where applicable

· Support procurement by identifying material specifications and required quantities

Project Requirements and Coordination

· Identify and prepare a comprehensive list of project requirements (equipment, tools, manpower, permits, etc.)

· Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, applications, service) to ensure technical alignment before project execution

· Assist in reviewing project purchase orders and work closely with suppliers and contractors when necessary

Project Monitoring and Site Support

· Track and monitor ongoing project status against planned schedules and milestones

· Visit project sites as needed to conduct inspections, take measurements, or assess progress

· Prepare and submit regular progress reports with photos, issues encountered, and recommendations

· Address on-site technical concerns and escalate issues to supervisors when needed

Technical Support and Inspection

· Participate in site inspections and measurements for mechanical and electrical installations

· Provide technical support to Sales and Service Engineers during the RFQ and project planning stages

· Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and safety guidelines during project implementation

Continuous Improvement and Team Support

· Actively participate in technical discussions, trainings, and team meetings

· Share learnings and feedback from project sites to help improve future project planning and execution

· Support orientation of new project team members as needed

Other Responsibilities

· Perform other tasks or duties that may be assigned by immediate superiors or department heads in relation to project execution

Professional qualifications

n Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Experience / Technical knowledge

n Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

n Licensed Electrical Engineer (PRC required)

n At least 1–3 years of experience in project management or engineering roles

n Must have a valid Driver's License and be capable of driving for site visits

n Willing to travel for project inspections or coordination

n Preferably based in or near NCR

Skills and Competencies:

· Proficient in AutoCAD design and drafting

· Basic knowledge of piping systems and mechanical design standards

· Skilled in using measuring tools such as Vernier calipers and micrometers

· Strong report writing and technical communication skills

· High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management

· Good interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

· Willingness to adapt, learn new systems, and apply new engineering practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php19, Php27,000.00 per month
