Role: Head of UI/UX and Product Design

The Head of UI/UX and Product Design will lead mWell's design team and shape the overall user experience for our digital health products. This role combines strategy, creativity, and leadership. You will ensure that our platforms are easy to use, visually appealing, and aligned with business goals.

You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to design experiences that serve patients, doctors, clinics, hospitals, and partners effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the UI/UX design team.
  • Create and maintain consistent design systems and component libraries.
  • Work with product, tech, and marketing teams to translate business needs into user-friendly designs.
  • Design mobile and web interfaces for patient, provider, and payor apps.
  • Conduct user research, testing, and gather feedback to improve usability.
  • Ensure all design work meets high quality, accessibility, and brand standards.
  • Present design ideas and strategies to executives and stakeholders.
  • Oversee design deliverables and timelines for key projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in UI/UX design, including 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Expert in Figma or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design, design systems, and mobile/web design.
  • Skilled in user research and usability testing.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, telecom, or fintech.
  • Familiar with data privacy, regulatory compliance, and health information systems.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/React is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
