Job Summary:

The Team Leader at ORCA Cold Chain Solutions is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of warehouse personnel within the cold storage facility. This role ensures that all inbound, storage, and outbound processes are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with ORCA's quality and temperature control standards. The Team Leader plays a key role in supporting operational excellence, team coordination, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of pickers, receivers, and loaders during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatching of goods.
  • Monitor and enforce proper handling of temperature-sensitive products and compliance with cold chain protocols.
  • Coordinate workload distribution and ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and relay instructions, safety reminders, and operational updates.
  • Monitor equipment use (e.g., pallet jacks, reach trucks) and escalate any issues to maintenance or management.
  • Check and validate documentation related to inventory movements (e.g., picklists, waybills).
  • Ensure adherence to Good Warehousing Practices (GWP), hygiene standards, and ORCA's SOPs.
  • Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or process delays to the Operations Supervisor.
  • Train new team members on ORCA protocols and safety procedures.
  • Enforce discipline, safety rules, and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in cold storage, warehousing, or logistics operations.
  • Prior experience in a team leader or supervisory capacity is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management practices.
  • Familiarity with cold chain handling and temperature-sensitive goods.
  • Ability to lead a team under pressure and in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge (for documentation and reporting purposes).

Preferred:

  • Vocational or college-level education in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
  • Certification in Occupational Health & Safety or similar is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php25,000.00 per month
