Collections Specialist Job Description

Elder Care Homecare is seeking an experienced Collections Specialist contractor. We are a private pay homecare agency servicing 4 US states with additional expansion planned within the next year. This is a work from home role based in Davao Region, Philippines.

Elder Care has been in operation for over seven years, however our growth has dramatically increased over the last two. As a Collections Specialist you will be the primary point of contact for payment collections. In this role, you'll professionally engage with clients to resolve any issues or discrepancies, ensuring a positive experience and timely payments. Crucially, you'll also be providing support to the Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing and collections, excellent analytical skills and be detail oriented. This role reports directly to our Billing Manager and Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overdue accounts through client outreach via phone and email
  • Build client relationships while discussing overdue, returned, or declined payments
  • Engage with late payers to resolve issues related to delayed payments
  • Meticulous documentation regarding client interactions, payment and collection activities
  • Be able to resolve minor client payment issues and follow a rigid internal escalation process when needed
  • Prepare and present reports on collection progress, account statuses and activities to direct management

Requirements

  • Client facing experience in collections as well as customer service.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of an accounting information system and Wellsky Personal Care are a plus, but experience with QuickBooks is a requirement
  • Good math skills
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, and thorough
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written English)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php12, Php13,500.00 per week
