Job Description – Parts interpreter (Second-Hand Automotive Panels & Parts)

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Quoting Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on responding to demand for second-hand automotive panels and parts on industry platforms such as Parts Check and Repair Connection. The Specialist will use our internal Pinnacle system to source availability and pricing, then prepare accurate quotes through the platforms.

This position will work under the supervision of the local Sales Representative, who will manage customer relationships, while the Specialist ensures the quoting process is handled efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Parts Check and Repair Connection platforms daily for customer requests.
  • Use the Pinnacle system to check part availability, compatibility, and pricing.
  • Prepare and submit accurate quotes for second-hand panels and parts through the quoting platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Representative to ensure quotes meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all quotes and part status in the internal system.
  • Provide input on alternative part options where applicable.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication in all quoting activities.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience with second-hand automotive parts (especially panels).
  • Familiarity with Parts Check, Repair Connection, or similar industry quoting platforms.
  • Experience using Pinnacle or comparable parts management systems preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when preparing quotes.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple requests at once.
  • Ability to work well in a team under the guidance of a Sales Representative.
  • Previous experience in auto dismantling, parts supply, or salvage industry is highly desirable.
