Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled
Data Analytics Specialist
with expertise in data visualization, advanced analytics, and cloud-based solutions to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, SQL, and Azure services, combined with strong data modeling and problem-solving skills. This role will be responsible for building scalable and optimized data solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization, while ensuring compliance with governance and information risk management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    interactive dashboards and reports
    using Power BI, Spotfire, and Tableau to support business intelligence and decision-making.
  • Write and optimize
    DAX expressions and PowerQuery transformations
    to deliver efficient and insightful analytical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain
    SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
    to support data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Utilize
    Microsoft Azure Services
    (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Power Platform tools) to design, implement, and manage cloud-based data solutions.
  • Optimize
    analytical reports and data models
    for performance, scalability, and accessibility across business functions.
  • Perform
    data wrangling and automation
    using Python to streamline data processing workflows.
  • Apply
    data modeling techniques
    to ensure well-structured, reliable, and reusable data assets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into
    technical data solutions
    and actionable insights.
  • Implement and uphold
    data governance and data quality standards
    to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Apply a
    fundamental understanding of Information Risk Management (IRM)
    to protect data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
  • Stay up to date with emerging data technologies, tools, and industry best practices to continuously enhance the organization's analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience with
    data visualization tools
    such as Power BI, Spotfire, and Tableau.
  • Strong proficiency in
    DAX, PowerQuery, and SQL
    .
  • Experience working with
    Microsoft Azure Services and Power Platform
    (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database).
  • Proficiency in
    Python for data wrangling and automation
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    data modeling, data governance, and best practices in data management
    .
  • Excellent
    analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    .
  • Fundamental knowledge of
    Information Risk Management (IRM)
    and its application in data environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in performance tuning for large datasets and complex queries.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and advanced analytics.
  • Industry certifications in Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Engineer/Analyst, or related credentials.
