This person is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies across a group of related businesses, with a specialized focus on Internet of Things (IoT) products and services. The "Shared Services" aspect means the role provides marketing expertise, resources, and coordination to all these companies from a central point, ensuring efficiency and brand consistency.
IoT Marketing Strategy
Focus: Developing the go-to-market strategy for IoT solutions (e.g., smart home devices, industrial sensors, enterprise data platforms).
- Tasks: Creating compelling narratives that communicate the value and ROI of complex technological products. This includes targeting B2B (business-to-business) and/or B2C (business-to-consumer) markets.
Content: Overseeing the creation of technical white papers, case studies, product datasheets, and demos specific to the IoT product portfolio.
Shared Services & Affiliated Companies Coordination
Focus: Serving as a central marketing hub for all affiliated businesses or subsidiaries.
- Tasks:
- Consistency: Maintaining brand standards, voice, and visual identity across all affiliated companies' marketing materials and campaigns.
- Efficiency: Centralizing and managing shared marketing resources, tools (like CRM or marketing automation software), and budgets to prevent duplication of effort.
Collaboration: Working with leadership and sales teams from each affiliate to understand their specific market needs and tailor support accordingly.
Campaign Management & Execution
Focus: Planning, executing, and measuring multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Tasks: Managing digital marketing (SEO, SEM, social media), email marketing, trade show participation, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives to drive lead generation and brand awareness for the affiliated companies.
Market Research & Analysis
Focus: Providing data-driven insights to the affiliated companies.
- Tasks: Conducting market research on competitor strategies, industry trends (especially in the rapidly evolving IoT space), and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
